Forward thinking on Easter Sunday

Sister Mary Margaret

Heavenly Father, we gather in Your loving presence, seeking Your guidance as we embark on our parish journey.
Bless our parish with love, laughter, and spiritual growth, and grant us the wisdom to nurture the young hearts in our midst.
May our actions reflect Your divine love, and may we become a beacon of hope and joy for all who seek You.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.

My dear friends in Christ, as we embark upon our digital journey together, let us first give thanks to our Heavenly Father for bringing us together in the spirit of love, fellowship, and humor. As we move forward, our mission will be to create a warm, inviting digital home for all those who seek solace and spiritual growth. As St. Paul wrote, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” (Hebrews 10:24) It is our shared vision to create a parish that cherishes the values of community, faith, and service, all while maintaining a lighthearted touch.

At the heart of our parish, we shall focus on nurturing our children and youth, for they are the future of our Church. We will provide a loving, supportive environment where they can develop their relationship with God and grow in their faith. Our Lord Jesus himself said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14) As we guide them on their spiritual journey, let us remember to approach their questions and concerns with patience, understanding, and a touch of humor to help them feel welcomed and loved.

As we work to expand our parish, both in numbers and spiritual depth, we shall be steadfast in our commitment to the teachings of Christ, providing guidance and inspiration through prayer, worship, and Scripture. And, as St. Teresa of Ávila so wisely said, “Let nothing perturb you, nothing frighten you. All things pass. God does not change. Patience achieves everything.” With a wink and a smile, let us join hands and hearts to build a thriving digital parish, filled with love, laughter, and the grace of God. Amen.
